In the published interview, Petru and Petruta Moldovan from TUTU TRANS SRL share the story behind their decision to invest in a DryTech DT 1520 grain dryer and discuss the results the investment delivered already in its first season of operation.

The story began with a search for a used grain dryer in Poland. However, after purchasing the equipment and assessing the possibilities for expansion, it became clear that investing in a new technology would be the better solution. As Petru Moldovan recalls:

"In five weeks, we managed to assemble the whole dryer and we saved the 2025 harvest season."

In the interview, the owners of TUTU TRANS also discuss the challenges posed by high corn moisture levels during last year's harvest. With moisture content reaching as much as 24%, efficient grain drying was essential to ensure proper storage and marketability.

After the first season of operation, their assessment of the investment is very positive:

"From the point of view of profitability, we are very satisfied with the purchased dryer."

It is worth noting that the DT 1520 commissioned in Târgu Mureș was the first DryTech grain dryer delivered by UNIA Grains to the Romanian market.
