Operating Principle and Design
The cleaning process is based on the use of centrifugal force – grain is fed into a rotating drum, where it is screened through a set of precisely selected sieves. Their arrangement allows for the separation of both fine impurities (e.g., dust, chaff, broken kernels) and larger foreign materials (e.g., husks, straw, stones). A key advantage of the drum design is that the grain does not slide over the sieves but is evenly distributed across them, reducing the risk of clogging and ensuring high cleaning efficiency.
Drum cleaners are designed to operate both in pre-cleaning and fine-cleaning modes – depending on customer requirements and the configuration of the processing line. The machine’s capacity depends on the model and the type of raw material being cleaned.
