Next - generation storage – grain drying and storage facility project in Świecie

  • In Sulnowo, near Świecie, a modern grain drying and storage complex has been built, setting a new benchmark in grain storage quality.

    Thanks to advanced technological solutions and precisely planned infrastructure, the facility with a total capacity of 11,000 tons stands as a model of efficient and sustainable crop management.

    Advanced storage infrastructure

    At the core of the installation are three flat-bottom silos with a total capacity of 6,000 tons and seven hopper silos with a combined capacity of 1,800 tons. All silos are equipped with forced-air ventilation and temperature monitoring systems, allowing for safe and controlled grain storage. The facility also includes a modern 1,000 m² warehouse hall, divided into four separate sections, capable of holding 3,200 tons of wheat. An automated belt conveyor system ensures even and precise filling of each section.

    Industrial-level drying and cleaning

    A key component of the complex is the DT2524 dryer, capable of drying 426 tons of maize per day (from 30% to 15% moisture). It is powered by LPG stored in six underground tanks with a total volume of over 38 m³. Cleaning is handled by the CZB 1203 cleaner, ensuring the grain is fully prepared for further distribution.

    Efficient logistics and automation

    The Sulnowo facility enables simultaneous unloading at three points and simultaneous loading at four independent locations, including beneath the dispatch silo (equipped with a transfer scale and dust extractor), inside the hall, and near the bucket elevator at the row of SF silos. Grain transport capacity reaches up to 60 tons per hour, with the entire operation managed by a centralized control system, enabling full automation of all processes.

    Operational facilities and security

    The site includes an administrative building with a fully equipped analytical laboratory, two truck scales with license plate recognition systems, and two Falcon grain samplers. The entire complex is monitored by a 25-camera surveillance system, and a spacious maneuvering area ensures smooth logistics and transport safety.

    Energy from a local source

    A 48 kW photovoltaic installation on the building’s roof significantly reduces dependence on external energy sources and ensures partial energy autonomy.

    Record-breaking execution time

    The entire project — from groundbreaking to commissioning — was completed in just 265 days. This exceptionally fast construction timeline was made possible thanks to excellent coordination and the dedication of Unia Grains professionals and partnering companies.
